      I think your line is the best way to get rid of every single worse hand he can have, unless you think he'll interpret the overbet as a bluff, since he doesn't look totally crazy with his 26 wtsd :p

      I'd likely bet around 2/3 pot on the flop, call a raise and check/shove any non club turn against a guy with 7.5 AF for 43 VPIP. Maybe bet/call a blank turn if his aggression shuts down after the flop to prevent a check behind. Or even bet/3bet the flop, but i think it's about as scary for him as the line you took. Overall, a line which gives him the opportunity to show his aggression with worse hands, instead of giving him more excuses to find a fold.
