what do you feel my bank roll should be for 50c/1$ NL holdem FR cashgame

I play at Partypoker and seem to slowly accumilate a good bankroll ie 700$ but then I seem to get greedy move up the limits to 2$-4$ and very quickly seem to,lose it all !! I have done this x3 times over last year.

For 0,5/1 NL the normal recommendation is 30 buyins so for 0,5/1 that would sum up to $3000. I would recommend that you read some articles on bankroll management. $700 wouldn´t be enough for the best NL player in the world playing 2/4 or even 0,5/1 for that sake.

The bankroll advice at pokerstrategy keeps changing, but even a very aggressive bankroll management strategy (with much faster drops in limits too) for deep stack no limit won't have you moving up with less than 15 buyins for your new limit. Your shot at 2/4 NL with $700 gave you all of 1-3/4 buyins. Now even if we assume that you have a big edge over your opponents, which is in no way certain when you move up this fast, you're very likely to lose it all. e.g. with a very good 10 bb/100 win rate you're about 1 in 3 to go broke. If you continue to move up, you become a favourite to go broke even if you remain a big winner.
