Hand converted with online hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.05/$0.1 No-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)

      Known players:

Preflop: Hero is CO with J, A.
      MP2 raises to $0.35, MP3 calls $0.35, Hero calls $0.35, 3 folds.

      Flop: ($1.2) J, 9, J (3 players)
MP2 checks, MP3 checks, Hero checks.

      Turn: ($1.2) 4 (3 players)
      MP2 bets $0.20, MP3 folds, Hero raises to $0.80, MP2 calls $0.60.

      River: ($2.8) K (2 players)
      MP2 checks, Hero bets $2.00, MP2 raises to $8.70, Hero calls $6.70.

      Final Pot: $20.2.
      Results follow:

I felt I was beat after villain raises the river. Should I trust my instinct and fold, or say to myself "I have trips - I need to make this call"? Villain will sometimes make this play with other hands I beat, like AK, but will he make it often enough for my call to be +EV?

edit: is my check on the flop ok? Didn't feel I needed to protect.

      Hi Tim,

Preflop: Depends on the villains sometimes you can squeeze there. A call IP if fine too if you comfortable in playing AJ against UTG's open range.

Flop: I'd bet go get value from PP and draws in their ranges.

      Turn: I'd raise to 1$.

River: It sucks. He might have slow-played 99/KJ. TQ got there too. But I think at that limit I'd still would have make the call since he call play TJ/QJ/AK this way.
If he looks decent I wouldn't hate a fold tho I like I said at NL10 I tend to bet/call.
