I feel that I am doing pretty well on these tables, but sometimes I don't know when to bet and when to slowplay

Here I assumed he had a weak Axs due to the weak raise pre-flop, conti-bet on the flop to add value to the hand. I suspected something was up when he didn't fold to my conti-bet. Check through to showdown.

Here I applied the call20 rule, and then called the bets due to good pot odds. Should I have folded on the river or turn?

      Hi,

      #1

Kinda hard without a read on the minraise or the player except that he's bad, i think i'd mostly just bet/call the turn since i except him not to fold 8x/99-JJ maybe not even overcards there and you never know when these players are raising a worse overpair for value on the turn. For 84bb i'm going broke.

Turns out he had 88 this time but it's only 3 combos, there are 18 combos of 99-JJ plus all the combos of 8x hands out there against which you missed value by not betting the turn.

I'm folding on the turn, this line looks like a middling hand that doesn't really know whether it should be scared or not by the monotone flop. Peeling with 3rd pair and a crappy flushdraw in probably just bleeding money without a better read on UTG2.

If you think MP3 could have something big there i'm fine calling the overbet in a limped pot to try and crack it. If it's just common for that player to overbet - especially with flushdraws that kills 2 of your outs- or you just don't feel like getting involved, i don't mind simply dumping it out of position.

As played turn is a c/f and on the river i would raise/fold it, two people bet already and MP3 still cold3bets huge, i think for those odds it's not worth looking him up unless maybe you've seen him take such a line with AK/KK+ or something.

      Thanks!

      Hope it helps.
