      Hi all

Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.02/$0.05 No-Limit Hold'em (7 handed)

      Known players:
      MP1:
      $2.22
      MP2:
      $5.16
      MP3:
      $4.83
      CO:
      $1.07
      BU:
      $0.93
      SB:
      $1.70
      BB(Hero):
      $5.00

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q, Q.
      MP1 calls $0.05, MP2 folds, MP3 calls $0.05, CO calls $0.05, 2 folds, Hero raises to $0.30, MP1 folds, MP3 calls $0.25, CO calls $0.25.

      Flop: ($0.97) 2, 2, 9 (3 players)
Hero bets $0.70, MP3 raises to $1.50, CO folds, Hero raises to $3.00, MP3 raises to $4.53, Hero calls $1.53.

Min-raised, no reads on opponents. Is it correct with a over pair like QQ on a reasonably dry board I should just put it all in? I think otherwise I will fold the best hand way too often. Opponent could have things like JJ or TT or worse.

      Turn: ($10.03) A (0 players)
      Hero gets uncalled bet back.

      River: ($10.03) 4 (0 players)
      Hero gets uncalled bet back.

      Final Pot: $8.5.

Now..... The very next hand on the very SAME table.

      Play hand

      $0.02/$0.05 No-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)

      Known players:
      BB:

      MP2:

      MP3:
      $0.77
      CO:
      $0.93
      BU:
      $1.68
      SB(Hero):
      $9.54

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q, Q.
4 folds, Hero raises to $0.20, BB calls $0.15.

      Flop: ($0.4) J, T, A (2 players)
Hero bets $0.20, BB calls $0.20.

One overcard but a almost nut flush draw. I don't know why I didn't bet bigger, should have been $0.3.

      Turn: ($0.8) K (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets $0.40, Hero calls $0.40.

      Drum Roll................. KaBOOOOOOOOOOOM

      River: ($1.6) 7 (2 players)
Hero bets $1.60, BB calls $1.37(All-In).

      Final Pot: $4.57.

      Hi,

First hand is standard tho i'll usually raise bigger preflop out of position against a limp train, $0.4 maybe. On such a dry flop without reads you can't fold QQ at nl5, it's rare for him to have 2x so unless he limp/called with KK+ you'll mostly get to stack overplayed 9x hands and flushdraws.

Second hand I agree with your remark on your bet sizing on the flop. I'd probably just continue to bet on the turn, i have no reason to think that this guy who so far only called my bets passively will wake up and bet on such an insanely scary board. Maybe $0.55 to be able to shove the river easily later on. It looks strong but not as strong as a check/raise, and i really don't want to have him check behind when the effective stacks are still bigger than the pot.

      Hope it helps.

      Thanks for the quick reply.

First hand he has 96, so good read there.

Second hand he made 2 pairs, KT. It's a shame I didn't even get a "nice hand" compliment people usually give to a strong hand at showdown.
