      As played i'd call, it's hard for him to have you beat unless he slowplayed JJ+ or binked a Q on the river, and since he's sort of a maniac and could very well pot a busted draw when you check to him i'd likely pay off when in doubt.

      If you feel uncomfortable check/calling you can also bet 2/3 and fold to a raise, the only problem with that is that some maniac villains might just choose to bluff raise with the same range they'd have bluff bet with, you basically get to the same decision except it's for more money.
