      No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

      saw flop

      SB ($46.50)
      BB ($10)
      UTG ($70.20)
      MP ($38.05)
      48/15, AFq 35% AVG. (31), WTSD 20% (15) - 34 HANDS

      Gerv (CO) ($50.10)
      Button ($31.55)

Preflop: Gerv is CO with K, K
1 fold, MP bets $1.50, Gerv raises $5, 3 folds, MP calls $3.50

      Flop: ($10.75) 4, 5, 5 (2 players)
MP bets $1.50, Gerv raises $9

calling was out of question so I want to raise to an amount where I can put him all-in on the Turn so I thought of $9. Is this wp?

Yes I like it, we only get value by raising here since he bet such a small amount.

I am putting in on an overpair which might go broke here against us on the flop or turn if no scare card comes.

      fish logic:

if you bet $9 it says "call 7.50"

if you bet $7.70 it says "call 6".

      and it just sounds better.

      no joke!

      I think so.

Sometimes they dont think you are raising pot but the amount they have to call.

on that dry board I´d also like to raise smaller to 7$
He doesn´t have full stack, so you have enough time to get his money all-in till the river.

I think I like raising it big, because there are many scare cards for him. We're getting value mostly from overpairs here, and an overpair won't fold to any raise.
With $9 you get most value because you can ship turn. I've seen countless times fush chasing in this spot with something like 76 and then c/f river for his remaining 10bb :D
