Is there any benefit to playing against pros? (people with red names).

Occasionally I see some playing and the table has a wait list of like 90.

Is there any bonus if you bust them in a ring game?

What limit are you playing that has pros in it?? I wouldn't think so in a cash game. In many tournaments they have a $5 bounty (whippee)

      Hi Flipzors,

As THeGaME23 has already indicated there is no monetry gain from playing the red pro's or Team pro's in cash games (or sng's). I guess you'd get bragging rights if you stacked them though :D

In mtt tournaments, there is usually a $5 bounty as TheGame indicated or sometimes you receive an amount equal to your buyin back if you bust them.

I've personally come across a couple in sng's and I must admit they've not played at all well, like they're not interested or something.

Mtt's seem different, they appear to try a bit harder there.

      Best regards,

      Bart

the reason there are so many people waiting at the cash table is because you dont often get the chance to sit down on a table with the likes of alan boston and so on..

it's exciting to bluff them out of a pot i guess

      :D

Oh Moderators are real cheapskates, so you'd probably have to settle for a "nh sir, gg, wp".

Oh course the bragging rights alone are priceless though

Well the other day I saw a guy with a name written and red and so was the table, playing FL 0.25/.50 with an extreme underrolled buyin - 5$... maybe he was implementing SSS into FL? :D
