      Hi all

It's like oil running dry for the past few weeks. Since I got my first Royal flush I've just been having horrible luck unfortunately.

Anyway below are two hands that I would like to be advised on. Both times the board puts me in difficult spots.

      1. Ako

Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.02/$0.05 No-Limit Hold'em (9 handed)

      Known players:
      BB(Hero):
      $5.08
      UTG1:
      $5.41
      UTG2:
      $3.83
      MP1:
      $3.84
      MP2:
      $10.92
      MP3:
      $1.64
      CO:
      $7.75
      BU:
      $4.56
      SB:
      $2.52

Preflop: Hero is BB with K, A.
      UTG1 folds, UTG2 calls $0.05, 6 folds, Hero raises to $0.20, UTG2 calls $0.15.

      Flop: ($0.42) J, K, 4 (2 players)
      Hero bets $0.35, UTG2 calls $0.35.

      Standard.

      Turn: ($1.12) 7 (2 players)
      Hero bets $0.60, UTG2 calls $0.60.

      Planned to bet/fold.

      River: ($2.32) 8 (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG2 bets $0.95, Hero folds, UTG2 gets uncalled bet back.

Check too weak? I thought it was the right move although it was weak, any diamond beat me.

      Final Pot: $2.32.

      2. TT

Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.02/$0.05 No-Limit Hold'em (9 handed)

      Known players:
      MP1(Hero):
      $5.77
      MP2:
      $5.36
      MP3:
      $5.10
      CO:
      $0.93
      BU:
      $5.03
      SB:
      $1.90
      BB:
      $3.70
      UTG1:
      $5.24
      UTG2:
      $8.17

      Preflop: Hero is MP1 with T, T.
      UTG1 folds, UTG2 calls $0.05, Hero raises to $0.25, MP2 folds, MP3 calls $0.25, 4 folds, UTG2 calls $0.20.

      Flop: ($0.82) T, 9, 8 (3 players)
      UTG2 checks, Hero bets $0.50, MP3 calls $0.50, UTG2 calls $0.50.

Should have bet bigger? I was trying to make a value bet rather than a standard 2/3 pot sized bet. The board didn't worry me too much at this point.

      Turn: ($2.32) 3 (3 players)
      UTG2 checks, Hero bets $1.50, MP3 calls $1.50, UTG2 folds.

Again a smaller than usual bet.

      River: ($5.32) 7 (2 players)
Hero checks, MP3 bets $2.85, Hero folds, MP3 gets uncalled bet back.

This river card is really ugly. c/f the right move?

      Final Pot: $5.32.

      Hi,

I feel your pain, i hardly see a pot where i don't get screwed over by the deck these days. Hang in there.

First hand check/folding is fine, check/calling is horrible until you know he can turn a marginal made hand into a bluff when the 4th diamond hits, and betting is likely too thin against almost everybody.

Second hand i'd go bigger with the c-bet, there are so many hands that will play with us on that board it's criminal not to pump it up. I'd go for $0.60+. On the river the weaker your opponent the more you'd rather jam it yourself since they ain't letting go off any two pairs / lower sets hands but they might bet it when you check and folding to that is a huge mistake. Against a decent opponent they likely won't bet anything less than 6x, most likely Jx with a pair for them that have stuff around that long, so check/folding is okay.

      hope it helps.
