      I raised on flop trying to protect my top pair / get a feeling where i stand. Was it correct thinking?

      Not raising that up preflop is going to be a big leak in my opinion, he looks fishy you have a good hand and you have position, raise the stakes.

      Postflop without knowing anything about his level of aggression yet and thus no idea what his range for donking pot there is, i'd probably just call down unless the board gets really ugly. I don't think raising is that bad but you usually want more information on villain before feeling confident enough to go broke with QJ in that spot.
