Isn't NL more fishy than FL?

I'm thinking of switching to NL but i'm not sure. It seems to me that people only know NL from TV and live games so they play this type online too.
But if it's true, how can the two variants have the same profitability as it is stated in the rookie section?

I'm really curious about your opinions on this question,
      so thanks for any comments.

On the low stakes you'll find plenty of bad players no matter what you play. So play whatever you want. On the higher stakes NL might be fishier, but on the other hand a NL fish quickly loses all his money while a FL fish loses it bit by bit, so you'll see more regular fishes on FL.
