Hey guys, first hand and post in the PS board ... had that hand today and wanted to ask whether it was played alright. I think I played it the way I should have. Afterwards I was thinking I could have checked first but in the end it wouldn't have changed the result since i wouldn't have folded that hand with TP TK and the FD.

i would play the flop less agressive in the hope of extracting more value with such a big hand. i would definitely have it all in by the river. u were very unlucky here with so many outs, u were a big favorite to win.

yeah the flop looked pretty good. maybe i should have played it slower. in case i would have checked the flop and he would have made a bet, let's say 2$ i should have called. checked the turn again?

1: he bets the turn again i go allin?

2: he checks turn and i go allin on the river?

might have been 2 good alternatives in terms of value.

      Hey huehnchan666,

congratulations on your first post and very nice to see another fellow SSS player looking for more knowledge! I wish you good progress with your game.

More or less you have complete nuts on this flop, so you don't fear any draw since you have the nut FD yourself thus I would bet 2/3 of the pot and shove to a reraise or shove turn if villain calls flop. I think with such a big stack you overbet flop when you shove directly.

As played, just bad luck with the results, but the results aren't important anyway. :f_wink:

      Regards,
