      Hi Everybody,

This is going to be My first ever blog.

      A little about myself:

My name is ****, (I keep it secret for now) I live in Israel , in the beautiful Tel-Aviv city.
I'm 27 years old, software engineer in my profession.
I started playing Poker two years ago. I Joined the online community last year. It all started after I was googling about poker and this wonderful site.
I started to play online poker using the first 50$ capital. I learned a lot from the site, read articles, watched videos and posted hands. (I also became a judge in the hand evaluation section) I was able to turn it into 2500$ in 6 months of play. After that peak I had to give some money and also tilt lost part of it by playing higher limits.
I took some time off and until now when I decided to go back to the online poker world.

      The mission:
Moving up the limits of No Limit Holdem until I'll reach the mid-stakes (NL200 and above)

      mission in points:

      * Become a better poker player.
      * Reach back my career high peak bankrole. (2500$)
      * Move up to nl50,nl100,nl200,...

      beginning information:

      Game: No-Limit Texas Holdem.
      Table Type: 6-max.
      Table limit: NL25.
      Current bankroll: 960$

      More Information:

I will update and give information about each session I play.
I will try to analyze at least one hand I find interesting.
I will upload the session graph.
I will upload my stats from time time and give information about my general play strategy.

      Hi everybody,

This my very first update! :s_biggrin:

I played a really really short session for half an hour. I didn't have PT working. Want pretty well for a short session

      session statistics:

      Hands played: 94
      Tables played: 2
      Time played: 27 minutes ( :) )
      money won: +31.35$
      bb/100: 66.7

I will analyze two hands that I think that are interested to discus.

The first hand was played against a guy who aprred to be a loose aggo. fish.

      Known players:
      MP3:
      $8.07
      CO:
      $25.04
      BU(Hero):
      $33.91
      SB:
      $14.81
      BB:
      $29.69
      MP2:
      $24.65

I dealt to the magic card and made a standard raise from the BU, got one caller.

Preflop: Hero is BU with A, A.
3 folds, Hero raises to $0.75, SB calls $0.65, BB folds.

      Flop: ($1.75) T, T, 6 (2 players)
SB bets $0.75, Hero calls $0.75.

villains donks into to me on a paird board. I think that most nl25 players will instinctively think about raising it up. I think it's wrong, especially against that guy.
I decided to flat from several reasons.

      1. The board is dry. there is not much to protect against other then a gutshots or 2 or 5 outer (6x or PP)
      2. We will get value from his semi-bluffs on later streets. (don't forget villain is aggo.) :)
      3. I'm not sure he will call with worser hands if I raise.
      4. it's clearly a way ahead/way behind spot.

      Turn: ($3.25) 2 (2 players)
SB bets $1.50, Hero calls $1.50.

Nothing change on this blank river expect from maybe a 6cxc getting a redraw to a FD. So I call again

      River: ($6.25) 8 (2 players)
      SB checks,

SO villain suddenly decided to check.question is - is there is a place for a value bet?
Either he gave up on his bluff or decided that he can't bet for value and planns on check/calling. (Actually I really doubt if he is thining since he was a :f_grin: but w/e)

I decided to value bet. 6x and PP are in his range and I want to get value from those hands.

      Hero bets $3.00,

But hey, surprise surprise insted of tanking and or folding villain snap shoves!

      SB raises to $11.81(All-In),

I think it really doesn't make sense since I expect him to bet himself his monsters which include Tx and the 79 gotshout we got there on the river. So after a short thinking called his bet.

      Hero calls $8.81.

      Final Pot: $29.87.
      Results follow:

Hero shows two pairs, aces and tens(A A).
SB shows two pairs, tens and sixs(A 6).

Hero wins with two pairs, aces and tens(A A).

Yes, villain was a :f_grin: like I said.
      there are three options:

      - villain decided is 6x is good and shoved for value hoping to get call from a worser hand...

-villain shoved as bluff even tho it doesn't make sence.

-villain was tired from his session and decided to shove anyway.

Anyway good for us. We got maximum value. :)

Hope you liked it. It's getting late now. I'll post the second hand tomorrow.
I also planing on playing a longer session tomorrow with 4 tables.
That's if for the first update. good night!

      overall summary
      BR: 988$
      bb/100: 66.7
      hands played: 94

Hey ho. Although you just started this blog I really like it. I should defenitely post hands to discuss them like you. I'm sure this is one of the best ways to improve your game.

      And to your AA hand:
I would also defenitely bet the river for value but if I get c/r on the river it's almost 99% NUTZ (:

Hi and thanks for reading my blog. about your suggestion, sure it could be nice. send me your msn username.

      @anstaendig

Hi and thanks for following my blog. I'll try to follow yours too.
About that hand again. Like I said villain's line does not make sense what so ever. No reason from him to stop betting his monsters since I took a passive line postflop. I likely checking back my marginal holdings (6x,and some PP) so he need to bet himself to get value. It makes sense for him to check/call 6x in that case if he think I will fire up my missed draws (tho there are very little missed draws on my range) but not check/raising.

p.s how did you make your signature blog previewed as a link?
