I'm beginning to wonder if it's best to never take a freeplay in the big blind when playing the SSS. :(

No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (8 handed)

CO ($3.20)
Button ($10.50)
SB ($10.05)
Hero ($1.85)
UTG ($5.45)
UTG+1 ($11.25)
MP1 ($13.10)
MP2 ($9.95)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J:diamond: , 5:heart: .
[color:#666666]5 folds, Button calls $0.10, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: ($0.30) J:club: , A:heart: , 5:spade: [color:#0000FF](3 players)
SB checks, [color:#CC3333]Hero bets $0.2, Button calls $0.20, [color:#CC3333]SB raises to $1, [color:#CC3333]Hero raises to $1.75, Button folds, SB calls $0.75.

Turn: ($4) Q:spade: [color:#0000FF](2 players)

River: ($4) Q:club: [color:#0000FF](2 players)

Final Pot: $4

Guess what Villian had...

55 or A5 normally, but clearly JQ because of the sour tone. Cheer up, this stuff happens and you'll profit by getting in with the best hand in the long run. Flopped a boat today and my opponent turned a bigger boat, costing me $100, but every other time he pays me. It's what happens over many thousands of hands that matters. If you find that you aren't winning in the long run, it's time to start posting hands you were unsure about (you played this one just fine).

Actually, it was worse...ATo. The two Qs counterfeit me. All he had on the flop (and the turn for that matter) was a pair of Aces :(

I actually have been posting a few hands in this forum for analysis. I'm not Bronze yet and so can't post in the Sample Hands Forum. I also have not been posting a whole lot of hands here because I don't want to unfairly take advantage of the generosity I've been shown by Puschkin and others analyzing a few hands for me even though I'm not yet able to become a Bronze member.

Thanks for the input Howard :)
