      Should i check behind turn for pot control or do i still need to protect my hand?

      Nh. You beat busted straight and flush draws, which can possibly account for a large part of his range. Turn both check behind and bet are Ok, although since pot is small I prefer betting turn to see free showdown if an Ace hits, and get value against flushdraws.

      and also call river bet
