      I checked turn to call river bet - Ricer card changed everything , I thought I could get more value by raising

      The check behind on turn is totally fine if you expect him to take the aggression on river and he will bet out often, for that you could check for the river AF and decide if it is even useful to check behind, if he is some kind of loosish and passive opponent then I might even consider just CBetting on turn also but the check behind is totally fine. On river we have a dumb situation because he is making pot size bet, it seems to be very strong to me, I might just consider Calling there and hoping to have the best hand. When we do raise then we have to know the opponent pretty well, I don't think that a thinking player would even Call there with very weak hand like less than trips.
