OK, this hand has been bugging me for a while now...

Villain had played 1 hand before this in which he 3-bet IP and c-bet about just over half pot to take it down, the board was fairly drawy there and well whatever we can take from that??

      $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Holdem
      6 Players
      Hand Conversion Powered by weaktight.com

      UTG Azuth ($20.05)
      UTG+1 Hero ($25.35)
      CO -Altairshangs- ($25)
      BTN MEGACOOL666 ($31.03)
      SB Rombo1983 ($51.01)
      BB Akumabutoto ($13.52)

      Pre-Flop: ($0.35, 6 players) Hero is UTG+1 J:diamond: J:heart:
      1 fold, Hero raises to $1, 1 fold, MEGACOOL666 raises to $3, 2 folds, Hero calls $2

Ugh, I was so stuck as to what to do, ship it or call? Folding seems just so weak IMO but going broke PF looks too loose vs a relative unknown. I was very sure that he is 3-betting me with less than premium hands, but ugh, what to do?

      Flop: Q:diamond: 8:spade: 8:club: ($6.35, 2 players)
      Hero checks, MEGACOOL666 bets $5, Hero goes all-in $22.35, MEGACOOL666 calls $17.35

OK, I thought for some time here. His bet size on a super dry board didn't make sense, it looked like he wanted FE and hands I am behind QQ+, 8x, AQ, KQ, QJ and worse Queens which I don't expect him to 3-bet with. Could he call with KQ/QJ? and I think a big part of his range are smaller PPs, and maybe SCs like JT, T9 etc that missed... I really thought that if he wanted value his bet wouldn't be so strong here... What is the best line? How is my thinking here?

      Turn: 4:diamond: ($51.05, 2 players, 1 all-in)

      River: 6:heart: ($51.05, 2 players, 1 all-in)

      Final Pot: $51.05
Hero shows two pair, Jacks and Eights
      J:diamond: J:heart:
MEGACOOL666 shows three of a kind, Eights
      8:heart: A:diamond:

      MEGACOOL666 wins $48.50 (net +$23.15)

      Hero lost $25.35

being oop I´d just 4-bet to 8$ and call shove
I´d c/c once and then c/f turn, since players usually are not barreling on dry boards with Ax hands
Problem with c/rai that it is very hard him to call with worse hands and if you get called, then you´re behind very often and drawing to 2 outs
If he is betting flop with Qx, then he is also calling shove with that hand
