i bet to increase the pot here

he would only call with a very strong hand here (higher FH) i think, so i decide not to bet

its one of those situations... i am not sure if that call is correct, however the overall way he played his hand so far does not seem very strong, so i decide to call

      Turn: ($0,44) 9:club: (3 players)
SB checks, BB bets $0,04, Hero raises to $0,50, SB folds, BB calls $0,46.

        yay! i'm a lucky fish

      River: ($1,44) J:heart: (2 players)

i'm not sure if correct, but i bet for value here

      Hi c4t0r!

Hand 1) nice hand. Easy all-in!

Hand 2) I would raise here to ~$1.50 on the flop. That increases the pot and his potsizebet usually means that he hit something on the flop which he doesn't want to fold. That makes the pot bigger on the turn and you can get him all-in very easily. As you played it: push the river all-in. What are you waiting for? You have a really strong hand. Let's get some value out of it.

      Hand 3) Nice hand!

Hand 4) Yes, you played it correctly. You cannot fold to that minbet on the flop. On the river it's the correct play, too: bet for value.

Hand 5) You didn't hit your set: easy fold.

      Good luck at the tables!

Uh, in hand two I don't think you know what you're actually afraid of on the river. You have precisely the third nuts in sevens full of threes. Only JJ for jacks full or 33 for quad threes beat you. For your opponent your check behind was probably one of those bizarre "thank you for not taking the rest of my stack" moments. Please don't do this.

I entirely agree: I should have bet the river on hand two. It simply is lack of experience that made me not bet: I read somewhere that betting the river is -EV in most cases because villain would only call with a hand that could possibly beat me (indeed its almost impossible in that situation though, but i did not realize :( )
