Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.05/$0.10 Blinds - 9 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

      SB: $16.95
      Hero (BB): $9.90
      UTG: $1.90
      UTG+1: $10.55
      MP1: $15.45
      MP2: $3.75
      MP3: $6.45
      CO: $14.15
      BTN: $5.85

Preflop: Hero is dealt 2 4 (9 Players)
6 folds, BTN calls $0.10, SB calls $0.05, Hero checks

      Flop: ($0.30) Q T K (3 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.20, BTN calls $0.20, SB folds

      Turn: ($0.70) 7 (2 Players)
Hero bets $0.40, BTN raises to $1.20, Hero raises to $2.00, BTN calls $0.80

      River: ($4.70) 4 (2 Players)
Hero bets all-in for $7.60, BTN calls all-in for $3.55
Uncalled bet of $4.05 returned to Hero

      Pot Size: $11.80 ($0.55 Rake)
      ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
      My questions:

      - Is it OK to push on the river or should I bet for value (~3) because I only get called by higher flushes?

      - Is it appropriate to throw away this kind of low flushes from time to time?

      - Is it a shame to get broke to a higher flush?

      Tnx again guys

      Hi Zeffke!

I would go broke here as well. I would reraise the turn bigger to put him nearly all-in. You don't want to see another  coming up on the river. As you played it: Riverpush is ok.

I almost never fold a flush in that situation. If he has a higher flush: so be it. But he can also have a straight or two pair or a set. So: easy all-in.

      Good luck at the tables!

OK thought so but wanted to hear that from you :D

Recently I have a very bad downswing, breakin even in about 6-7k hands. Losings set vs. sets, flushes vs flushes etc, ...That's why I'm doubting at everything for the moment. Still making 7 BB/100 this month so that's ok i guess

Yup...that's more than ok. Nice job! And a downswing is a part of every poker life (btw.: to play break even is not a downswing ;) ).

      Good luck at the tables!

I keep going broke in this situations....

I'm down $50 at NL25 with flushes after 2k hands I played to showdown. Is this just a normal downswing or do I need to be more careful with my flushes?

      Tnx
