Final Pot: $11.20

Freeplay from the big blind, first hand at the table, I flopped bottom two. I bet pot on the flop because I figured that bottom two pair on a two flush board was vulnerable, plus I'm out of position and I didn't start the hand with initiative. Was turn and river play OK? Should I have just pushed turn with an overbet? Or maybe bet 2/3 pot on turn to leave enough behind for a slightly bigger river bet?

Hand 2:
No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (7 handed)

Button ($0.95)
Hero ($10.25)
BB ($20.30)
UTG ($4.45)
MP1 ($26.45)
MP2 ($12)
CO ($25.55)

Preflop: Hero is SB with K:spade: , Q:heart: .
[color:#666666]2 folds, MP2 calls $0.25, CO calls $0.25, [color:#666666]1 fold, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($1) Q:spade: , T:heart: , 8:diamond: [color:#0000FF](4 players)
[color:#CC3333]Hero bets $1, BB folds, MP2 calls $1, CO folds.

Turn: ($3) 8:heart: [color:#0000FF](2 players)
[color:#CC3333]Hero bets $2, MP2 calls $2.

River: ($7) 5:diamond: [color:#0000FF](2 players)
Hero checks, MP2 checks.

Final Pot: $7

I've got a big stack here because I was waiting for the orbit to finish so I could leave. For that reason, I didn't want to risk a whole lot on the hand and decided to complete the SB and see a cheap flop. First, was the overall hand played OK? I know very little about BSS. Second, should I have value bet the river? Based on him just calling flop and turn, I put him on either a weaker Q or a draw. I thought I might induce a bluff by checking. Thoughts?

Thanks,
Kknight

Hand 1.)
I would bet $1.25 here to protect better against a Flushdraw or Straight Draw and to build the pot to have an easier decision to move All-In on the Turn then. ;)

Hand 2.)
You have nothing on the fliop (which was played ok), but from the Turn on, better play check/fold here.

Hand 1 - Thanks

Hand 2 - I'm confused...what do you mean nothing on the flop and check/fold the turn? I have top pair with a K kicker.

Thanks,

Hi Kknight!

Hand 1) Flop play is ok, but push all-in on the turn.

Hand 2) Well played! On the flop and turn you have to protect your hand against straightdraws (and flushdraws). On the river it's an easy check/call.

Good luck at the tables!

Oh I´m sorry I thought you had a OESD here, I was a bit tired when I looked at that hand, so I apologize again.

Thanks to both of you!

Not a problem Berliner, I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't misunderstanding.

Thanks,
