      $0.25/$0.5 No-Limit Hold'em (9 handed)

      Known players:

      Preflop: Hero is MP2 with Q, Q.
      3 folds, Hero raises to $2.00, MP3 calls $2.00, CO raises to $8.25, 3 folds, Hero ???

How should I act here? A call for set value?

Or a raise & fold to shove?

You dont really want to ever call for set value here. You are getting about 13-1, even slightly deep vs an opponent who has you covered, and are stuck OOP. Maybe if you were IP and vs a nit who overplays AA/KK.

4bet will be a 1/3rd stack commitment and make a fold very hard. Id want a read on my opponent that says he is capable of light 3bets or squeezing to consider 4betting such a big 3bet. You cant possibly call for set against such an opponent though. Youll rarely get paid as the villain has often nothing to pay you with, have to surrender on nearly any AK high flop when you miss, and cant even have any confidence on in an overpair flop.

Fold is weak, safe and protects your deepish stack. The last part of that sentence though probably turns me to a fold here, especially with no read.

      I´d call and play postflop
It looks like squeeze so he can do that with wider range than QQ+/AK
against nit I´d c/c once with low boards and fold to turn bet, against all the rest I´d c/r low boards and play for stacks
