      Was it right here to play for pot control? Villains play is really weird, but often I encounter this phenomenon when they bet few cts and 2bets you on the river.

      Not sure what you last sentence meant.

      As for the hand itself i see no good reason to pot control the turn against a 22/5/0.5. He will call you down with any decent Qx, he'll call again the turn with a flushdraw, barring a read he won't bet a worse hand when checked to. It's just overall better to be betting that turn for you instead of checking, which seems to be one recurrent mistake on your part. When in doubt and you have a top pair, bet most turns.
