hi all..i've started with 50$ ps capital on fulltilt half year ago.slowly grinded up nl10,nl25 untill about 800$.most of this 800$ came from rakeback, as I didnt really win anything with my hands at all. I am used to bad beats, but now its just too much..i cleared my 200$ iron man bonus, and i had about 1050$ at a point..i said, lets depo the max i can and lets clears the bonus..i did right away, 550$ was the max, so i had 1600$ and i started..since the fastest way for clearing bonus with the lowest risk chance is rush poker nl10, i just did it that way..about 3k hands later i see im having 1470$, and i didnt even clear 20$ bonus...i dont use any hud sadly, but what can you do even if u have hud with a magical database (lets say 20k hands from every player) when you have a session, where i had 8sets, 10 overpairs(no draws),about 15flushdraws with 12outs or more, 5straights, 3full house, and i dont remember how many top pair top kickers but at least 20..i just checked every hand, and i just dont see how can i lay down flop sets, flop top pair with J or better kicker, flop 2pairs, flop flush, river full house...all these kind of hands, i just cant believe anyone could fold them ever...but when i see its a reraise i just know im beat..i just know, and i have to call and he holds just what i believed...if its going at this rate, im gonna lose my whole BR before i reach the half of the bonus...i've seen guys doing such upswings..yet i never had any in my life, i got over 130k hands and never went up from 200 to 300$ in some days..all was just the rakeback, very very slow and painful grinding...i was always believing that one day i gonna start winning coinflips, or at least they will be 50-50 and not 20-80 as they are now, that one day top pair will win 70% of the time and not 30%, that the sets are winning 80% of the time..but i dont know really if that day will ever come...what should i do guys? im thinking if i go lower then 1400$ i just simply quit and leave the bonus, or max 1350$ but really it just seems useless, so fuking useless, just makes me depressed, that all those hours of learning and watching videos are just useless, when it comes to bad beats no pro can escape..would you quit in my place or just continue playing? or start something new?
      thanks for ready

Well I'm just a little fish. However I kind of understand how you feel after the mentioned badbeats. In last 3 days I've been losing almost all of my BR which I grinded in 2 months. For example, yesterday I lost a pot in which I was 97% favourite to win on the flop (SSS 25c/50c).

      About your question..
I recommend to you to stop playing poker for a week or so, watch some poker videos ( so you get exited about poker again), read some articles or a book maybe. After that you'll be ready to take those badbeats again. :]
Badbeats will always be a part of the game :)
At least this works for me.

Hopefully I was some kind of helpful.

      @ Lizocain,

You are too money orientated. So worrying about your bankroll and study the game. Read articles, watch videos and get a sweat partner. You have so many leaks to plug. Once you start becoming a winning player you start to forget about the cashier trust me from experience. Join this group: Micro Stakes Study Group .

these are the standard looses, note that these hands were played in a 45minute session, about 800hands. there are some preflop bad moves, like I dont raise AQ on CO, but then on the flop u see the chances, no matter if i raise or not, when u lose from a backdoor straightdraw its hell of an unluck.

Joronamo - thanks i will check it out, im money orientated because thats the only reason i play poker, to make some money, the game itself, i really hate, trully from heart, i hate everything where u have "luck". and this game is really about the luck, when i grind 3hours without stop, and i "would have" made profit, if 4-5-6-7 donkeys doesnt suckout with 2-3outs...with no suckouts, i'd be millionaire no shit, like everyone else i guess

Stop playing rush poker would be my first suggestion.

Secondly, why did you mover up to NL25 if you wern't really winning any money with youhands at NL10? Or have i mistaken slightly?

Everything about your post sounds like you aren't actually investing anything into this. You don't even have a tracker. How are you supposed to analyze your play without a tracking program?

You really need to study more.

PocketAcesJohn - I went up to nl25 because the rakeback and bonuses allowed me to, i was following a very strict brm, went to nl25 with about 60BI.
tokyoaces - I do have elephant and hem but cant use it when i play just afterwards to analyze and im getting PT3 now as i heard it has rush support, i studied more then u think, u just dont know me, im not somebody who never saw the articles and videos, i saw them all, not once, + coachings.

I saw the hands and i've been in that position before..like endless badbeats!..
and i know exactly how you feel...this is plain and simple : Variance!!..

Have you ever tried to flip a coin like 1000 times and if you did you will see that for example you will get TAIL 20 times and HEAD 2 times ...but if you continue to flip, flip & flip eventually they will even out trust me =) ..!

This is kinda the same with poker..if you get it all in with 70% equity ..you will win 70% of the times ...its true as sun!..Its like the casino..or blackjack ..House (in blackjack game) has advantage over people with ~ 2% ..that means in the long run they will WIN..
that 2% will turn into millions

      so, dont quit..keep believing :s_cool:

try switching from cash games to MTT's or SNG's or even PLO or something to keep game fun and keep yourself motivated....

i sometimes start to beleive that i have no idea about how to play this....that its all luck and i dont have enough and that i keep getting outplayed and then i just keep swithcing the games and that keeps me interested and still have fun until the luck turns around in my favour

Heffron89 - If you checked the links u see i play sss and minimum buyin at rush
Leito99 - I used to play some MTTs at least on sundays but not much luck there yet, my last hands used to be QQ+ and lose from 2-3outer, but I tried SNG 2.25$ BI and it went very good in the first 150-200sng..then again the graph shows looses. the reason i played rush is because its very fast, i am able to 8table of rush with same decisions as 1-2tables (pity they changed velociraptor (tablename) to ante ) and i wanted to grind the iron man aswell (i was ironman for 4months)..but i think im gonna give up iron man. I gonna get the free PT3 soon (did depo at titan..god, the soft is just incredibly inferior to ftp) then I gonna try play less tables as possible with stats, still, bad beats wont stop using stats.
qakaripodon - good to see somebody understands me:) i know its variance, i know it gonna be better once, just wonder if i will live that moment u know..thats the problem with coinflips, u need big numbers, above million, but once ur money is gone u cant prove that it was variance anymore
thanks anyone for replies, im taking a break of ftp till i clear my PT3 on titan, then will see

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but isn't min buyin for NL Rush games 35BB? If so, you can't play SSS (which is a $2.00 buyin at NL10), and you lose value playing BSS because you risk not extracting maximum value from your winning hands.

From your links it looks like you're using 40BB as your buyin. I think this might be your problem, but I'm a min-bet mafia kinda dude so apologies if I've misunderstood.

the only thing that differs with the 40bb buyin that you can call pocket pairs for set value where with 20bb stack u cant do this, beside that all the play is exactly the same, a bit looser you can raise from lp and limp with suited connectors about that...the minus is not coming because of the buyin at all
