Hello everyone, I'm Stephen. I recently went bust playing SSS, I ran realy badly, and refused to move down stakes and bust. :( Anyways, I'm back now, and I'm gonna play SNG's on PokerStars. Just put in 100USD, hopefully I'll get that to grow. Hope to meet loads of other SNG-ers too! :D

Thanks to the both of you. I have read both your blogs. And my dad's from the South coast of England, I remember one of you being from south England as well, I don't remember which tho, my bad.

Anyways, just finished my first session, thought I'd take it slow and played 4 $1.20 SNG's. Finished 1st, 3rd, 4th and 6th. So I cashed in two and made a profit. Decent start. :D

Okay, so I played four more, and won one, bust in the rest. I have a few questions for you guys who play SNG's too, it'd be a big help if you answerered, thanks. (1) How many SNG's do you play at once? (2) Do you cascade or tile your tables? Thanks!

If you are new to sng's stick to 4 max.

      Most guys play around 8-10

For some stupid reason or another, I decided to play SSS for awhile cause I realised the 1.20 SNG's on stars wasn't making me much money, however I ended up losing at SSS and was stuck about 35. (I did run real bad tho). I just finished playing 4 SNG's, won 2/4. :) My roll now stands at $70. When is it advisable to move up to the $3 SNG's? I play 4 at a time. Thanks!

You can move to the $3 ones when you reach $300 I would say. Having 100 buyins is important as big swings can and do happen.

some people use conservative BRM, some more aggro. i would say that there is a "the gold middle way". i use 50BI BRM for 10 (9) men SNG. more (like 75BI) for MT SNG (27, 45, 90 men). and for MTT (more than 100 players) not less than 100BI.

Do not do this as a new player!
