      Hey all,

I thought I would create a thread where everyone can post our PTR Report Card results and discuss them. Discussion examples would be on how we can adjust our play - or if we even should - in order to improve our grades.

These are my stats for NL2:

      PRE-FLOP TIGHTNESS:
You are 13% tighter than optimal. Loosen up a little. (B+)

      PRE-FLOP AGGRESSION:
You are 49% more aggressive than optimal. Be a lot less aggressive! (D-)

      FLOP AGGRESSION:
You are 65% more aggressive than optimal. Be a lot less aggressive! (F)

      TURN AGGRESSION:
You are 48% more aggressive than optimal. Be a lot less aggressive! (D-)

      RIVER AGGRESSION:
You are 29% more aggressive than optimal. Be somewhat less aggressive. (C)

      SHOWDOWN FREQUENCY:
You showdown 29% more often than optimal. Fold more often. (C)

      Overall Grade: (D+)

As you can see I am way too aggressive. I'd like to know how other PokerStrategy players fare at NL2.

I'd also like to discuss both how we can become more or less aggressive or whether we ought to change at all.

For those who don't know, the PTR Report Card compares your play with the top 10 players at the same stake level.

Anyway, let's starting posting stats and talking!

My first discussion point would be this: How to be less aggressive on the Flop?

I really don't think I'd want to be less aggressive, heck I just posted a hand for analysis today and the response was that I shouldn't have slow played the Flop on that particular hand...

So what is Flop aggression anyway? Is it large raises, or betting too frequently? Does it mean betting when there are many players seeing the Flop, perhaps I have bet too many times against too many opponents? Or perhaps the top players at NL2 are just the passive types who are very patient and wait for silly aggressive players to donk their chips off to them?

      Thoughts?

You should never adjust your play in order to manipulate your stats. However I do think that comparing your stats to winning players in order to find leaks is a sound idea.

What do your PokerTracker stats say about your flop play? Is your c-bet percentage in line for your stakes? Are you c-betting with no pair into players who are 40/0/0.3 ?

These are the kinds of things you want to look at. Then find hands that you think might indicate bad flop play and post them to the hand forum. For the best advice cut them off right after the flop so that no one can see anything about the rest of the hand.

Finally, you are "13% tighter preflop than optimal" means that you are going to be holding better cards than the players you are being compared against. Maybe your postflop aggression is warranted?

So far it appears that most PokerStrategy players are more aggressive than the top players rated by PTR.

When you peeps post your PTR Report Cards, also post your stake level please.
