i had no stats on the villain, have not played against him before, and this was my 2nd or 3rd hand @ the table. What do think about this hand?

UTG2 folds, MP1 calls $0.04, Hero raises to $0.20, 4 folds, BB raises to $0.60, MP1 folds, Hero calls $0.40.

      Flop: ($1.26) 8, J, 3 (2 players)
BB bets $0.40, Hero raises to $0.80, BB calls $0.40.

      Turn: ($2.86) 5 (2 players)
BB bets $1.36, Hero calls $1.36.

First thing to do is to accept the fact that you can't make a perfect decision when you don't know the guy. So he puts you in crappy spots like that, just go with the absolute value of your hand and be happy about it.

Here that means assuming he's just overall bad like most microstakes players and raising the flop bigger once he takes that weird small bet line. He could have you beat and be playing it tricky, but just assume he doesn't. He has some kind of draw or weak made hand and we want value. Raise it up to $1.5 planning to go broke with it, if he tricked you so be it.

As played on the turn when he wakes up it's weird but he could still be drawing or playing some Jx like that, i'd just shove with not even a potsize raise left.

      Hope it helps.
