Extremely coordinated board, but stack is less than pot and I have an overpair. Push OK?

River: ($10.35) 9:diamond: [color:#0000FF](2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: $10.35

Very scary flop, but I had less than 1/2 the pot left before his bet...was it OK to call?

Hand 4:
No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (8 handed)

MP2 ($18.80)
CO ($35.60)

Hero checks, [color:#CC3333]UTG bets $0.5, [color:#CC3333]MP1 raises to $3, Hero folds, UTG folds.

Final Pot: $6.50

I chose to play check/fold here despite having less than 2/3 pot left behind ($3.35 vs $5.50 in pot)...was that the correct play, or should I have just pushed? Two opponents, paired board, and underpair are the reasons I went with check/fold.

Thanks,
Kknight

Hi KKnight!

I think you played all hands correctly except from Hand 4. Hand 1, 2 and 3 are played well because of the reasons you already mentioned.
In Hand 4 your opponents don't necessarily have hit the flop (only 5 cards can be combined with the board: the 2 tens and the three nines) so I would just push all-in here.

Good luck at the tables!

Hi Puschkin,

Thanks for the reply. On hand 4 you think I should push even against two opponents and even though I technically have a "trash hand?" I guess there is a good chance of both opponents missing there...

Thanks,
Kknight
