Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.05/$0.1 No-Limit Hold'em (8 handed)

      Known players:
      SB:
      $17.51
      BB:
      $12.03
      UTG2:

      MP1 (Hero):
      $10.25
      MP2:
      $9.42
      MP3:
      $10.00
      CO:
      $11.09
      BU:
      $6.60

      Preflop: Hero is MP1 with A, A.
      UTG2 folds, Hero raises to $0.40, MP2 calls $0.40, 5 folds.

      Flop: ($0.95) J, 6, T (2 players)
      Hero bets $0.60, MP2 calls $0.60.

      Turn: ($2.15) 8 (2 players)
Hero bets $1.50, MP2 raises to $5.00, Hero folds, MP2 gets uncalled bet back.

      Final Pot: $3.65.

Was I right to fire again or should I just check down? It didn't feel that 8 could have helped much, so I fired again.

      Hi,

Glad you didn't check that turn, it's fine. He'd have called again with Jx and flushdraws so it was a valuebet, when he raises he's telling you you're smoked, so we're gladly folding.

Maybe sometimes he does that with some combodraws, but that means he still has a lot of equity against your hand, so it won't balance the times you're drawing dead against him. No reason to go further with the hand.

      Hope it helps.
