Tommy Angelo "Elements Of Poker", Matthew Hilger "The Poker Mindset", Some random dude "Zen and the art of poker". There are also video series by Tommy Angelo on DC.

Orrrrrrr get drunk and get laid (the alternative would be to get drunk and fap while watching porn).

Try out the video series first imo.

Yea, i guess dropping down 10x the stakes doesn't get cured just by that. :) Having some other activities besides poker like doing sports or whatever probably helps too, but fuck do i know.

Do I need to subscribe (pay) to watch video series or 7 days free trial is fine?

Meh, doing that already but it can help only until i log in to play some pokerzzz. Then... welcome back to reality. Good thing is that I'm not tilting at all no matter of bad beat style. But man, sets over sets, flopped K hi flush vs A hi flush on the river, etc. - it's boring :f_confused: I just need some new perspective... New motivation (besides bills to pay :f_cool: ).
Hope your recommendation will help :P

Na, 7 day free trial and you can DL all their vids if u want.

Maybe try learning a different game? Money shouldn't be the main motivating factor. I was rly lazy 6max nl player (bad too ldo) and could hardly force myself play more than 1hr sessions but switching to where the heart is helped and now sometimes i find it hard to quit a session.

NL Heads Up cash. But currently am planning on learning PLO since it looks like a very fun game to play too and has brighter future than NL. :)

Ahh, money is not my motivation to play. But I need it to pay my life expenses :f_biggrin:

But it's just waterfall... hm, moneyfall over here all this year :f_confused:
I'm life-rolled enough for all this year so I'm calm. But poker roll... That's another story. Ok, for nl50 40 buy ins at the moment and counting down :D
I was only on PokerStars for all my "career". From time to time I played on bwin and now, since December, I'm 100% on Ongame (not bwin) because my VIP offer is superb and much, much better than SN on Stars :f_cool:
But fuck it... PLO downswing began around Xmas but no biggie. That's normal. But after losing 33 buy ins while running few above $EV line I quit with it and came back to NL Hold'em only around mid January. Dropped regulary from nl400 to 200 to 100 and now I'm bored... :f_eek:
I can't play limit games so that's not an option :P
      Same with tourneys :)

It can beat me but it can't stop me to climb back! :s_biggrin:

Ugh, that's pretty fucked up man. You should be seriously life tilted by now so taking a long break could do good things to you imo.

Haha, I'm not tilted at all :)
I'd be tilted in case that I doubt in my game. I'm playing good just like I always did. Just running like crap :f_mad:

when you lose that many buy-ins you gotta take a break from the game and spend some time re-examining it. you may think your head is in the right place but there is a very good chance it isnt. its not a shot at you, im just saying it because i've been in your place and a break helps immensely.

I have no clue how to get motivated to play again. I guess the problem is that you made/lost more money in the past then you do now and it's not that exciting anymore.

I'm in the same bucket after going from almost 2300$ to 700$ playing NORMAL Sng's.

Anyway, i've planned that every month i'll withdraw 50% of my profits in order to feel some reward from playing. That should do it!

Thanks so much for that recommendation and kind answers! :)

      P.S.
Just began to read "Eckhart Tolle - The Power of Now" and it seems very good :)

      Hi Zheelvern,

I know how tedious it can be, playing stakes less than what you're used to. So Imo, for now you should try to forget about making big money, n just play for "fun."

You're a better player than your new field, with all your experience, so you can beat the lower stakes easily..
Just take it in your stride as players willingly hand over their chips in moves that make no sense!

Gradually you're BR will build up again, after the first few hurdles your winnings should get steeper.
You should be back where you left off in no time, more confident from lessons you've learnt along the way.
All that grinding will be worth it sooner or later!

      Best of luck to you.

      Regards,
      Sarah
