No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (8 handed)

Hero ($10.75)
Button ($45.65)
SB ($49.50)
BB ($47.35)
UTG ($25.20)
UTG+1 ($44.80)
MP1 ($8.50)
MP2 ($67.75)

Preflop: Hero is CO with T:spade: , Q:spade: . Hero posts a blind of $0.50.
UTG calls $0.50, [color:#666666]3 folds, Hero (poster) checks, [color:#666666]2 folds, BB checks.

Flop: ($1.75) K:heart: , J:club: , 5:diamond: [color:#0000FF](3 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, Hero checks.

Turn: ($1.75) 8:diamond: [color:#0000FF](3 players)
BB checks, [color:#CC3333]UTG bets $1.5, Hero folds, BB folds.

Final Pot: $1.75

Played check/fold here in accordance with strategy (no draws after a freeplay.) In this case though, since I posted from CO and I'm in position, should I take a shot at the pot after it gets checked around to me on the flop?

Thanks,
Kknight

I would bet $0.75 to built the pot in case you hit on the turn. Otherwise you often can take the freecard. If you get check-raised, you can give up your hand. But IP I would try to built a pot and maybe 1 out of 5 times both opponents fold.
