      SB ($11.12)
      BB ($24.28)
      Hero ($10)
      UTG+1 ($7.36)
      CO ($10)

      Dealt to Hero 8:spade: 8:diamond:

Hero raises to $0.35, fold, CO calls $0.35, fold, fold, BB calls $0.25

      FLOP ($1.10) 2:diamond: 2:spade: 9:spade:

      TURN ($2.60) 2:diamond: 2:spade: 9:spade: J:diamond:

      RIVER ($4.60) 2:diamond: 2:spade: 9:spade: J:diamond: 2:club:

BB bets $2, Hero calls $2

Villain was 39/18/2.0 over 52 hands.

I usally never call down at these limits, but I felt this was a little special.

I was pretty sure he didn't have a 2 or a 9. the lead on the turn looks weakish, like a lower underpair, a fd or something simular. Folding river is out of question imo because the 2 changes absolutly nothing and his bet looks weak. Thoughts?

I don't think he is betting turn AND river in bluff. His bets are also small, not a sign of bluff imo. It's more like thin value bets for me. I never call river.

i dont think there is anything wrong with this hand except for the river call. Im never calling there.
We can definitely put a J in this guys range. QJ+ is very reasonable i think. But to be honest he could also have the nuts here 99. I mean he is check calling pf aggressor then value betting the rest of the streets.

I agree. While it is possible this player is sometimes randomly semi-bluffing the turn after check/calling the flop, he won't fire the river anywhere near enough to make up for the times he's just blockbet/valuebetting us with whatever made hand 88 can't beat.

If you really believe he never has 9x then I don't really mind the call for that price, but I've seen enough bad players make these seemingly "good valuebets" just for the sake of (block)betting themselves to think that 88 is rarely good there.

      Hope it helps.
