I'm not sure if my strategy is good.

Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

      Reproducir mano

      $0.05/$0.1 No-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)

      Known players:
      CO:
      $8.00
      BU:
      $1.45
      SB:
      $2.05
      BB (Hero):
      $1.50
      MP2:
      $7.70
      MP3:
      $7.15

Preflop: Hero is BB with 8, 5.
MP2 calls $0.10, MP3 calls $0.10, CO calls $0.10, BU folds, SB calls $0.05, Hero checks.

      Flop: ($0.5) 4, 2, 5 (5 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $1.40, MP2 folds, MP3 calls $1.40, CO folds, SB folds.

      Turn: ($3.3) T (2 players)

      River: ($3.3) 7 (2 players)

      Final Pot: $3.3.
      Results follow:

      MP3 shows a pair of sevens(A 7).
      Hero shows a pair of fives(8 5).

      MP3 wins with a pair of sevens(A 7).

      Thanks.

I think your bet was WAY to big. the pot was $0.35 (if i added up right) and you bet $1.40, I don't think this is a good bet, you should have bet much smaller, then been very cautious on the turn/river as your flush would have been pretty weak (had you hit).

Edit: Im no expert, these are just my thoughts.

I did this because I had two 5's, three 8's and 7 diamonds to come. Almos 50% success and a posibility of winning with a semi bluff.

Obviously I didn't know my oponent was in a flush draw and an A.

      Hello elquimico,

While that may be true what you are stating, the only hands that are probably calling such an overbet are most of the times a better hand than yours or at least an equilavent.

I would just bet $0.4 and shove the Turn
