so i've been playing mtts till now and i have been doing well so far...got the $50 to $2k....
but there is big downside to them....its kinda obvious- you either win it or you get ripped off and outlasting over 1k players is....difficult
so i want to switch to cash games for a while at least...
so i played about an hour of nl25 and have some questions...

what hands do you stack off preflop?
are the players better in cash games than mtts?
how do you play JJ if the board is undercards?
lets say you raise 910 of spades and get 1 caller...the flop comes 765 with 3 hearts....do you go broke with this??

answers to these would really help...tnx
and ye i read most of the articles...

I really hope there was a typo somewhere in there.

Everything is about value in cash games. No folding because you dont want to go broke. If its +EV then you do it. Simple =)

      1) That depends on so many factors IE: FR, SH or HU? +The opponent in question...

      2) Sugar or salt? There two completley diffrent things, requiring diffrent skills to be succesful at...so who knows.

      1. Read articles
      2. Read articles
      3. ...

Cash games are way different, than MTT's.
It is completely new game for you.
Most players can't be good at both (some poker PRO's are talking.) Anyone heard about this?

      .
i played another 3 hours and down 4 buy in
i did get set over set once tho so maybe not just bad play

if you are totally new at cash, NL25 is too high of a limit for you. Play some NL10 for a couple of weeks so you will "get the feeling" of what kind of cards to play and how.
Will be quite a bit cheaper, from the learning point of view.

took a break...got some rest then got back to poker...
i read articles for about 1 hour and changed a few things about my play...
i raised $1 instead of 75c and started using the standard open raising rable instead of maximum...
and i got 3 buyins back so down just over 1 buy in for the day`

my elephant stats are messed up tho...empty seats have stats :p
i tried rotating them but dont know where each should be...

cash games arent boring like i thought....planning on playing them more now...

lol why would someone consider cash games to be boring? :)

if you ever find poker to be boring.. try Omaha/8 ;)
