      Well the AK read is something, but that doesn't help us much since we don't know why he did that. It's possible he was checking with the intention of check/calling thinking AK-high is good, or it's possible he was giving up. Since he checked a middle strength hand it hints at his c-betting range between somewhat polarized to air/nuts hands or only nut hands.

      Your line is fine. You can also check back the turn and call the river if you think he can bluff/check/bluff, tho with a third of the deck being an overcard on the river it's a tad uncomfortable, so I like your line. If he check/called the turn with a better hand just make a note on it and move on.
