      villian was really loose with 67% vpip. could i have checked the river or bet a little smaller? flush draws and trips were possible there.

      At any point in the hand you are ahead of his range so you should bet. I would bet the turn a bit more and definitely go allin on the river because of his stack.

      if he is so loose then bet the pot size all streets

      He has 40bb so betting 2/3 will do the trick as well. Betting pot might make him fold some of the hands he is calling.

      This :) You can't really check/call the river against a loose passive fish, he'll check back all worse hands and jam on you with his nut hands. Check/folding is actually better in that sense, but still a mistake overall against a guy who probably has any and all Qx hands in his range there.
