What up PS?? haven't been around much/... at all! :D but now im back! I left uni after a semester, will prob go back next year but right now im just at home, working at the moment. Had some personal problems with breakup of 3 year gf, and tilted away most of my roll i'd worked up.... just like emotional tilt, can't play poker if your emotions aren't in check.

I've been moving onto HU, SSS SH was crazy swingy and I don't think the best choice in the longrun. I'm way underrolled for NL50 so I started this morning with $300 and after day of the $11.50's on stars im at $385 as of now.

So its been an ok start!

My plan is to use a 30 BI brm for the HUSng's, until i get to $1500 and take a shot at NL50. I might take a shot at the 50bb tables at $1000, i will see when time comes, and if i like the sngs, might just stay there!

I've been all excited that I'm going to work hard at poker a couple times, and then just kind of didn't really work, and just played around. So here goes nothing :)

I've collected at least 1500 sps, because im goldstar on pokerstars, but it hasn't shown up here yet, so can't read any HU stuff, and i will also be on 2+2 alot because they have active HU community!

-Read all strategy threads in the sticky in 2+2 (0/16)
-Read the Poker Mindset and Poker Winners are Different
-Post hands and look at others hands
-Keep a reasonable volume, not quite sure yet what this will be
      -move up to $23's ($385.85/$690)
-Start working out again :D , (after 2 months of working out 6 days/week and i lost 15kg while gaining a ton of muscle :) , i havent gone once in last 2 weeks :( ... just lazy and hasnt happen, that changes monday :)

He'd been really spastic, i almost folded, but after thinking about his last plays couldnt really hlep it.

then he rematched, i was so happy :D ... got down to this hand

sigh, he'd been raising monster hands to 4bbs and every other hand 3bb... so i figured he had Ax or Kx, and really didnt see him having flush, after last sng, couldnt fold here i dont think, does anyone see one?

I think I do slowplay a bit too much, its easy to enduce bluffs on turn/river against these guys, but obv that creates room for people to draw out cheaply... i'll have to think/work on that :)

So now i have to go to work, work all afternoon/early evening, then partying it up :D so not much poker today!

I play HU cash nl100 at the moment. :)

As for the question on second hand what was that bet for on the river? As i look at it, to me it seems like a bet to induce so obv you get to snap off a shove.

well I skipped the playoffs so far cause I decided to sacrifice the nights to studying & playing poker. actually I didn't even play bball since before Christmas (this was basically my only break from the game in 9 years since I started playing :| ). anyway, I think I'm gonna start following the final teams in the next few days even if it means downloading all of them..
we had some stuff going on here between the sat tv providers and now there's only one of them to broadcast the nba games (sadly, I didn't sign with that one ofc :f_frown: )

so gl with your game! it looks u had an interesting start already ;)

Alright well I think I'll do a summary of the week every sunday night before crashing!

Obv, its only been a couple days so this wont be so intense. Heres the graph so far.

the last few games i really do think I played better and I was alot happier with myself. Some quick thoughts before I end up going to bed because im going to wake up in like 6 hours to go play basketball.

      1) I need to be less results oriented. I realized without subconsciouly noticing it, I was being RIDICULOUSLY results oriented. I'd be happier with myself if I made a bad call, like you know you're 90% sure you'er beat, but you can't help but call just in case. I'm happier if i make a HORRIBLE play, and suck out, then if i get it in ahead and get sucked out on.

      2) Need to be more patient - there is time. I get to where I'm at a position where theres a good chance im beat, like say tiny pot someone overpushes blank on the river, I get to where I might be ahead or behind i really dunno... but i need to realize the blinds are still small, i didn't contribute that much to the pot, I'm not losing out on my chips as much. Yes there is a chance I could win here, but there will be better chances down the road. thats what i need to realize!

      3) (kinda along the lines of 2) Don't get Attatched to hands fairly self explanatory.

Some more technical things along the line of my game, but I will go into that another time when I've been able to review some of my recent games. I think in general i have a decent idea of whats going on, I think the way I think I have the potential to do well... but my mindset sucks anus. Not anywhere close to ok. This is going to be my prime objective now, reading the "Poker Winners Are Different" and "The Poker Mindset" I hope will get me going in the right objective, but that is the main goal as of right now!

sigh so havent been posting that much...I moved to 5.50 regulars to get a bit of cheaper experience playing more of a small ball type strategy... hated the regulars after having some last 1h+ so I moved to 6.25 turbos and been grinding those the last.. 3-4 days? So far 29-30, which i am fairly happy with because, well had an extremely good family friend committed suicide friday, and i was taking aback and played a ton just to, get my mind off it, but i was just playing bot like, not paying attention or really caring... so i think i lost first 7-8 on 6.25s so yeah... but the rake kills you. I'm also experimenting on different lines in different places against different opps so kind of a trial and error situation.

I've decided i'll stay on 6.25's until $350 and then move back up to 11.50's

      BR- $276.50/$350

ok.. .so quite a bit happened since last post, allthough no ones really reading :D ...

I basically busted roll, go down to about the $50 mark, Been talking to nick alot, gave me kinda some hope and got me fired up :) and hes helping me get started on the $1 superturbos on FT! So far is looking fairly good, up about $12 in about 30 sngs, heater i think yes, but im trying to focus not as much on the money as I am on my play.

I'm planning to grind out the superturbos to rebuild my roll, and we'll see how long I play them, actually enjoy it quite a bit at the moment, maybe i'll just continue up through the limits here, although I do really want to learn PLO :) , so considering that down the road....

but anyways for now :) , im sitting on about $70 on FT now, I think I'll use a fairly aggressive brm just to take small shots, when i get to $100 i'll take a shot at $2 super turbos, if i fall below $90 i'll grind my way back up. I only play 2 tables at a time right now so should def be doable.

So far I've basically just played off articles/some tips i got from nick, still haven't use the icm trainer at all... I think i'm going to have myself start off half hour-hour with that before i can play that day, but havent quite figured that out. been a busy week working every night, and then staying out late with friends after, so sleeping in til work starts in the afternoon. Gotta get back into the sleeping at a reasonable hour and working out habit!! but yeah so thats my plan for the moment!! later guys

so havent posted in quite a bit.. i decided to move to plo.. .went pretty well.. i moved up form ~$65-~$150 on plo2. Moved up to plo5. went up to around.. $200-$210, then lost quite a bit back down to $150. Took a bit of time off then hurt my knee, had surgery again (same knee fuck!) so now i have alot of sitting around time as 6 weeks til i can put weight on it.

so i decided i didnt like FT so much, with only 3-4 tables for plo5 at times. So yesterday i decided to grind rush NL5 to clear out the remaining deposit bonus then leave. was hoping just to break even, im not quite an expert on NL SH. in about 2k hands was up about 10 BI. looked on 2+2 for someone to move my money of to stars since way more games (and juicer so far, although it is weekend so dunno if it always like that). Could only find someone to move $40 since it was late at night... only play 6 tables so if i run good wouldn't be a problem :D .. so far its been good... EV's at about brekeven and im up 4 BI.

I've made a blog on 2+2 and heres my BR requirements.

      $0-$150- PLO2
      $150-$300- PLO5 (move down if below $125)
      $300-$750- PLO10 (move down if below $250)
$750-$1500-PLO25 (move down if below $625)

So its a bit aggressive, however i do think that for the micros and as long as i do just take a shot and move down, i should be fine... :) , the goal is plo50 by end of 2010, i know might be pushing it however thats what im going for :)

      right now BR- $241.18
Next goal- PLO10 shot in $58.82

ps. also with the move to stars i'm tracked again, so hopefully silver again son... i think im halfway there just through my play today, so that'll be nice for omaha content/being able to post hands etc

decent day... 3K hands. Worked a bit on getting a bit more aggressive in spots taking down some pots when scare cards come... have to be careful of this at micros though, definitely depends alot on the opp... so anyways up 3 BI... kinda tired to write long post, have to wake up in like 6 hours for docs appointment...

      Hey, man!

First of all - nice volume, sir. 3K PLO hands per day is alot.

Second of all - always nice to see more PLO addicts posting in the forum. Please spam PLO hand evaluation as much as you can, always interesting to read how people play the game.

And lastly - sorry about the AA** remark, it wasn't directed at you, it is directed to those boring hands where shoving is just unavoidable ergo the boring hand. Your hand, however, is quite tricky and will be interesting to hear what hand judge has to say about it.

so played a quick 2k hands at the hotel. at one point was up 7BI, but ended the day only up 1. Lost AAxx vs AAxx twice and some other things, but other than one really spewy play for 200bb right at beginning of the session I was really happy with my play. Had some spots where i had top set where on river multiple draws completed and usually i'd still just get it in out of frustration when i knew im behind but today could take a deep breath and think and make a good decision. So i was really happy about that. For example here, usually i'd just call out of frustration but here I was able to stay disciplined.
