Moneybookers and poker

      Hello,

      I was looking at the site of moneybookers to make an account but when I read the terms of conditions I see that I am not allowed use it for poker/gambling sites? How is it possible that still everyone use it?

      11.1. It is strictly forbidden to send or receive payments as consideration for the sale or supply of:
      Tobacco products
      Prescription drugs
      Drugs and drug paraphernalia
      Firearms or ammunition
      Weapons and knives
      Satellite and cable TV descramblers
      Pornography
      Government IDs and licences including replicas and novelty items
      Unlicensed lotteries or gambling services
      Prepaid debit cards or other stored value cards that are not associated with a particular merchant and are not limited to purchases of particular products or services
      Multi-level marketing, pyramid selling or ponzi schemes, matrix programmes or other “get rich quick” schemes or high yield investment programmes
      Goods or services that infringe the intellectual property rights of a third party.
      11.2. It is strictly forbidden for citizens or residents of certain countries to make payments to or to receive payments from persons or entities offering gambling services, including (but not limited to) sports betting, casino games and poker games. These countries include but are not limited to the United States of America, Turkey, China, Malaysia and Israel.

      If you're playing at a legit site and are not from the USA or other countries where poker is banned, you're ok.

      what country are u from? unfortunately, without any warning, moneybookers pulled out of certain countries including mine. (and no, it's not listed on there).

      it was pretty sudden. i deposited/withdrew via MB when just like that, i was not allowed to transact for poker with them anymore. my money got stuck and it was a highly unpleasant & costly experience.

      I assume you didnt get your money back then?

      Actually this is news to me especially since i just moved to China and have continued using moneybookers without problems so far, I guess i should make other arrangements to get my money.

      Although officially my address is still in the UK but withdraw to a Chinese bank account so maybe that's why i have still passed under the radar. A good thing i was lazy and was paying the high fees instead of changing my address and hence default currency.

      I live in The Netherlands (Holland) and poker is forbidden on internet. We are only allowed to play poker in the casino.
