Hero checks, BTN bets $8.50, Hero calls?

      villain: 47/7/2743 over 15 hands

Ugly spot, fish usually like to slowplay their made hands, which is why I doubt I can call here. But then on the other hand he might be turning his low PP or whatever into a bluff??

Another option would be just blockbet/folding, how about that?

Hard for him to laydown Tx if u bet the river meaning - if u bet u only get him to laydown hands that you beat anyway. (and if he is a fish he will never lay down Tx)
Reasonable line is to c/c river and bluff catch if he is an aggo donk but i think giving the sample of hands i'd just c/f and save the money. there will be better spots to get his money anyway.

      call is fine imo
I think he would often bet Tx himself on the turn or even if he had Qx
So his likely hand is small pp that isn´t good any more
