Ok, let's start with first things first.
My real name is Steven and I'm from Romania ( Ṣtefan for Romanians ;) ) , I'm 20 years old, first year at Computer Science .I'm having problems with my college at the moment, but I think I'll manage to go through.

I started playing poker with PS about 40 days ago and I managed to keep the starting capital alive.Last sunday I was almost broke playing NL2 SH, having a bankroll of 14 $.
Today I had 33$ BR and I decided to start playing rush poker NL5(I know it doesn't correspond to BRM :P ) and so I now have 51 $.It's the first time since I started playing online poker when my BR is +50 $ :D

My thread will be updated weekly with graphs of my evolution .

Also , I'll clearly state here my objectives in poker:

      Here they are:

      Long Term Objectives:

      1.Become a professional poker player
      2.Win 10k+ $ from poker
      3.Reach Diamond status.
      4.Reach Black Member status.

My long term objectives may be changed due to some circumstances, but they must be present here so that I know my direction.

      Short Term Objectives:

      1.Reach Gold Status
2.Reread all silver articles of NL BSS SH and psychology and taking notes,1 per day.( I already read them all)
      3.Gain the PS Elephant license.
      4.Watch 1 video every day.
      5.Reach a BR of 250$ to advance to NL10.
6.Play 3k+ hands at RUSH Poker daily, that means 2-3 hours a day at 3-4 tables.
7.Post at least 1 hand per day for analysis .

Currently I'm using PokerTracker3 Trial, I have 45 days left of it.I think it is a great software.I'm hoping I will unlock the PS Elephant license till the trial expires.

      Also I have some questions:
1.I am currently playing with my starting capital at FTP and I almost have enough points to unlock the money. If I withdraw them and redeposit again, it will be recognized as a first deposit or not???
2.What books should I read at the beginning of my poker career??.
3.Does PS Elephant works with rush poker???

First update will be made Sunday with the graph and stats.I'm currently playing NL5 BSS SH Rush Poker(I love this format).

"Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars." - this will be my guiding quote.

      Cheers,
      Steven.

      Salut Stefan!

Very nice blog, I'll keep an eye on it and I'll answer to the hands you post for analisys, if this helps you.

Books that you should read at the beginning of your cash game poker career are Harrington on cash games, volumes I and II.

I've read those books and I strongly recommend them.

Good luck at the tables :f_cool: ! :spade:

Thanks for replies.Well gadget, perseverence is the key to succes, never give up.
I had some crazy swing today from 51$ to 35 $ and back again to 51 $ lol. I played 3 tables at rush and I made some stupid AI like with TT or 88 PF , I was just amazed how could I made such terrible mistakes. That cost me 2 BI , but I'm glad I recovered. It seems that I play very profitable at 2 tables Rush.

Thanks for the book recommendation, I'll look for the books and start right away to read'em.

Also I am still looking for the answers of the 2 questions from the original thread post.
I'll post a hand to analysis at the respective thread.

Interesting week I must say, I played a lot of hands mostly on NL5 Rush, which is very swingy for my bankroll, so I decided to go back to NL2 from now on, till I built a larger bankroll.

So this week's overall profit is 25 $ over 17k hands.

Not glad to say this but that's a poor profit for 17k hands...
For ur sake I hope it's got something to do with variance.

There's big variance at NL5 RUSH, but I learned a quite tough lesson this week, that I should never play when I am very tired , I lost like 200bb with a stupid call.I also made some bad calls,so there was some bad playing from me.

Yeah I play BSS, SSS can't be played at full tilt with the 35bb min buyin.

Also I will never complain again on not hitting my set on flop, or being at least called preflop with pocket aces :)

I started reading Barry Greenstein's book - Ace on the river, I'm at page 100.

That's a good read (Greenstein's book). I also read it, I liked the auto-biography most. Reading (auto)biographies shows you how other people have succeed and what they had to overcome to get to the top. Donald Trump said "Read what other people have done to succeed, then be prepared to do ten times more to get there." Do that.

Yeah, about playing when tired... not a good idea. To win, you always have to have an edge.

Keep learning to play better and put in the volume (and intensity) and each day you'll be closer and closer to your goals ;)

      Cheers and Good Luck!

PS: Succes man! Poate ne vedem la WSOP in ceva timp :s_biggrin: Baga mare!

Today has been a fantastic day,I have played a lot of hands at NL5 Rush and I have gone from 62$ to 120$ .I now have a bankroll that I can play really comfortably at this limit.
Two days ago I dropped to 23$ and I thought I will go broke, but I kept risking playing 2 tables NL5 Rush till I got 40$.And from 40$ here I am at 120$ :D We are getting some results after a month here.

Also I am at 150 page from Ace on the River , I think I will finish it in 2-3 days and then I will start reading some BSS SH books .Any suggestions??

Also I hope that I gather the money in 40 days for PT3 license, this software rocks.
