Hi there, my name is Joe and I'm from Derbyshire in England. I'm 18 and currently studying A-levels (although really just have my exams left to take) and I plan to go to uni in september to study maths :s_biggrin:

I used to play freerolls and playmoney before I was 18 and one or two times had some real $ but ofc did not know anything about BRM and it went within a hour of getting the money :P In August however a friend let me "borrow" one of his accounts and I started to learn how to play poker better. Had quite a lot of success actually - deposited around $150 and in about march I cashed out $2.5k - shipping some $1 donkaments helped :P

So now I have deposited $300 onto full tilt and planned to play $3 KO 90 man SNGs, dropping down to 90 man $1's at $200. At the moment my goal is just to improve my play - since I know that $ goals follow from that.

I've had pretty good success so far - winning $95. Here is my graph below :

I plan to blog my journey through poker - however I probably won't update too frequently especially since I have exams coming up. But yeah, thanks for reading :D

Well I played a lot today - and yeah I got nailed :D Lost crucial flips and 75%s on bubble. Have a feeling there was some tilt in there - so tmorrow I plan to go through my bust hands and big swing hands to try to find some hands to post in evaluation forums. Here is graph for today :

Wow you played like 75 90man ko sng's in one day? :f_o: How much tables do you play?

I play the same ones on stars and they usually take like 3-4 hours although i haven't played a decent sample yet so i may be off. But how can you play that many a day? I even had one that took a little over 5 hours (a hour long heads up.. pretty crazy). Or are they turbo's?? in the ones i play the blinds rise every 10mins and the blind levels are very slow so from 10/20, 15/30, 20/40, 25/50 almost twice as slow as normal X(

To the above - well I played 12 tables yday and they take on avg. 60 min according to HEM although they take longer till like HU obv. They also reg really fast and are turbo yeah - so its not too hard.

Today I played only 9 tables and i'll admit that 12 was a little too many but 9 seems to give me enough time on big decisions whilst me not being bored. Also ran a little better - and managed to ship one. Graph for today :

Probably won't update this for a few days now - sunday or monday since it is the last day of school tmorrow so afterwards I will be going out and on friday night - so I'll need until about sunday to recover :P

      Current BR : 322.4$

Oh i see. Then it's quite possible since the blind levels are like 4 times faster.

      Goodluck at the tables!

Good luck in your poker playing. I currently play the 90plr sng's as well. I imagine i will see you at the tables.
I only play 6 tables at a time but make the money round about 2 out of 10 games, there are a lot of bad players, be patient in the early stages of the tournaments and when the blinds get up to 50/100 then u can usually get a little more aggressive.
      Nice job on the 2.5k

Hey, I decided to take a break from the 90 man KO's on tilt for a while (variance did my head in) and played some 10 man turbo $3.4 on stars. I've ran pretty damn hot in them and here's the graph below:

So I think I am going to play like 1k of these + the $6.5s to see what approximately my ROI is - though I know it will give me like +-2%. I also think though that it will help very much with my push/fold game overall - which I consider to not be too great at the moment.

Played some more of the $3 turbos. Running well and above EV - although my EV line is still trending upwards at least. Also went deep in a $3 6max w/2k runners. Was about 3/45 at one point - but a few setups for huge pots led me to only cash for $20. Graph for $3 :

Also cleared some bonuses and won a satelite to sunday 250k putting my bankroll at $290. I will hopefully begin to take some shots at like $350 at the 6$ turbos or I might play 5$ normal speed. Hope I can take these shots as soon as possible, but I have exams coming up so volume is going to be cut down quite a bit soon.

      Small update for today :

I am still running really well. 19% ROI today over 24 Sngs with my EV ROI at 15%. Graph for today :

I also found out that I'm qualifying atm for the mars division of the high orbit sng leaderboard. If I am in the same place at the end of the week i'll recieve 20$ which will be a nice boost to my roll which now stands at $316.

Anyhow I'm off now to go play a live freeroll at casino and maybe some cash games if I bust early.

Did well at casino last night. Went with £40 ($60) and came back with £360 (~$500). My mate shipped the tournament and three of us split our action so got $120 from that and then won the rest at cash games. I was playing out of BRM but a live buyin is disposable to me so I am not so bothered - plus its so damn soft lol.

Well I just had a pretty sick session at casino. Second hand in in SB i got dealt AA. Someones straddled - everyone called as per - I raised it up to £14 (blinds are £1/1) get like 3 callers. Flop is 3 diamonds I have Ad - I shove for like £35 more and get one caller by a guy with just KdX no pair. I hold.

Then a few hands later there are some early limpers - TAGish BU raises up to £4. I have AdTd in BB and so call on immediate odds and implied - since early limpers will also call too. Flop came 25Jdds. I donk pot for £10 - because TAG is not c-betting into mulitway pot on this board often imo plus from donk I can stage bluff against TAG and against all the fish I just get value if I hit flush draw on turn or get a free river. I get two callers - ultrafish and BU TAGish.

Anyhow turn came 6d and I again bet out for pot because it is completing 34 which ultrafish can often have and I get value and plus I think checking looks stronger than betting out again - so I bet just under pot again like £35. Fish folds and just the TAG tanks for about a minute and then calls.

River brought another 6 and I check since I don't ever expect to get called by worse by the TAG now if I shove for my last £80 but he might try some crazy bluff or just donk it off. Anyhow I think checking is the better move. He bets £40 and I instacall and he shows me 56. Sigh.

This is the end of my live shottaking though now - at least for buying in deeper for cash (I will occasionaly shortstack for 20BB). I am at least still around $350 up from my live play. So back to the cheeseburger $3 games online and to just get back into some solid learning how to improve as much as possible rather than being so results and winnings oriented.
