Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.05/$0.1 No-Limit Hold'em (8 handed)

      Known players:
      BU:
      $10.00
      SB:
      $20.58
      BB:
      $28.68
      UTG2:
      $4.33
      MP1:
      $9.33
      MP2 (Hero):
      $14.91
      MP3:
      $8.49
      CO:
      $2.70

      Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 9, 9.
      UTG2 raises to $0.40, MP1 folds, Hero calls $0.40, MP3 calls $0.40, 4 folds.

      Flop: ($1.35) 6, 8, 3 (3 players)
UTG2 bets $0.96, Hero folds, MP3 folds, UTG2 gets uncalled bet back.

      Final Pot: $1.35.

Was my decision correct or safe? If I dont have proper reads can I go all-in here?
One note: I got his 50bb stack couple of hands before. Is it possible that he made a move just to take down the pot?

with his stack size I´d just raise flop to 3$ and call shove
he should have there enough worse hands than yours 99 who would go all-in
