i bet hard to protect against the heart, unfortunately it still came out. i decided to check fold since he could have held onto a heart draw. yet the river bet was smallish, could i have called?

He needs to be able to turn something like 9x into a bluff for you to be good on that river, and while some fish will occasionally do it it still doesn't happen that often. Also when they do they usually don't bet so small. I just think he peeled twice with a random heart and now he's making a suckering valuebet, I'd fold as well unless he has proven erratic enough for me to take 4+:1 odds with a pure bluff-catcher.

      Hope it helps.
