this could be a general online poker issue but since i play on Full Tilt i decided to ask you guys here :

i play 6max 25 NL, got up to 50 NL, went down during a downswing and i started to notice something : most of the players at the tables are playing 4-6 to 10 tables at once meaning they are regulars. and whatevere table i choose i always have 3-4 regulars if not 5. ocasionaly i find one or two players who play one table, and very rare do i meet the 50VPIP true fish.

i don;t think these regulars are unbeatable or even to good in some cases.

i play cash for 6 months now, i used to grind sng's in my first year of poker, but i didn;t expect to see so many regs, at least not until Nl 200,400.

SO , does this affect my win rate (variance) or am i just making many mistakes and need to improve my game to beat low stakes or is ABC enough for lowlimit?
what's your opinion? am i mistaken?

oh yeah, are fullring games fishier?

Dont play in Full Tilt and PokerStars unless you are a massive grinder :)

Choose a european site, or some site that also has a casino like 888 Poker or something like that, the downside of that is the lack of traffic but I think this is a fair exchange if you're hunting for 50VPIP fish :P cheers

a true fish will not play below NL100... if the bb is less then 1$ its whird to them....
the ones you still see on nl50 and below are the broke ones - or the ones that come from a poor country ones.

when i started to play (and was a little fish)
played straight away to nl100 and so my friends that days...
and when i left with 5$ i went to nl2 or 4 dont remember..

I'm in the same situation as you taking shots at 50NL but I don't find an amazing amount of fish either although the regulars are pretty bad anyway so I think I can exploit them. I might move sites though I am not sure yet.

when i was playing on NL10 on fulltilt the average VPIP of the table wasnt above 18... for 2 weeks.. so i said: THATS IT!

i moved my bankroll to partypoker and the average vpip was like 40 and now im at NL15 and party gave me 50 for free and im clearing that now and then they gave me 300 for nothing and then i can buy350$ in the shop!

lots of free money coming my way and i win every day at the tables $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ :f_cool:

so yea.. only go to fulltilt or pokerstars if you are a grinder

FR is way tighter and more regs then SH thats 100%. in SH you can find much more fishes, still if you dont multitable/grind alot, I'd move to another site. I was playing alot of FR NL10, 16tabling and rarely I saw a guy with 40VPIP+ and usually they get raped very fast

I just moved my roll from Party to Full Tilt. I was playing 20nl on Party and it was the same case you're having on FTP, i always ended up with the same regs over and over and struggled to find a table with a player having a VPIP over 25. On FTP so far, i've always ended up with at least 2 pretty big donks at the table (there are a few players i see repeatedly) but so far I haven't had to do too much table selection. Quite strange how that happens :P Probably in a few months I'll be back to saying the same thing, "It's just constantly regs, god damn it". That's just how poker goes atm online i guess :\

No stakes will ever dry up for those who will want to play good poker instead of mass grind the limit, no matter where u play. There's quite a few people that are killing NL50 or NL100. Maybe the lowish/midish SnGs will dry up but no type of NLHE CG will ever dry up.

Sure it will always be profitable for some % of players but it doesn't mean that the games won't dry up comparing to todays games. And i'm quite sure that games did dry up comparing to even 1 or 2 years back.

Smaller possible edges in sngs comparing to cash, especially shorthanded/hu cash.

Well in practice nowadays hu cash sucks because it's full of pussy bumhunters who would rather sit and wait for one hour or more for random 40bb fish to sit instead of playing someone who is at least remotely decent, but that's not the point and i'm just ranting here.

As for mtts i'd tend to agree.
