100bb buy-in

"You always join a table with a full stack (100 big blinds). 100 big blinds equal one buy-in. "

With Pokerstars, tables have a max buy-in of 250 big blinds, so at NL2 should I sit down with $5.00 (250bb) instead of $2.00 (100bb)?

On pokerstars NL2 has 5$ buy-in max instead of 2$.
The bankroll needed to buy-in with 5$ is very different than buying in for 2$.

If you're starting out or don't have sufficient bankroll if you're following BSS buy-in for 100bb or 2$.
