These two orbits happened consecutively. Both times on the Button I'm dealt a hand worth stealing with (AT in Hand 1, AK in Hand 2...which of course I'd raise even if I weren't first in) and both times the table folds to me. I'm guessing that the Big Blind (same opponent both times) is putting me on a steal, because his play is identical in both hands...Call PFR, Call C-Bet, Check Turn, then put me All-In on River when I Check Turn behind. Is there any way to avoid this if I have a read like this one? I made a note on this opponent, so I'd like to know if there is a different way to play it if I run into him again...especially in the second hand where I'm not necessarily on a steal, but have a premium hand that misses the flop.

      Thanks,
      Kknight

      Hi Kknight!

I wouldn't play back with air. Just wait for a good hand and play it the same way. If he puts you all-in again on the river, you just call and say: thank you! :D

Btw: What about your StrategyPoints? Do you already play for PokerStrategy? ;)

      Good luck at the tables!

      Hi Puschkin,

Thank you for your advice. About my StrategyPoints, I still want to move to FullTilt once I get to a $600 bankroll. I am still working toward that. If you want me to stop posting hands until I start earning points, I'll understand. Just let me know.

      Thanks again,
      Kknight

No, I´m sure he will not revoke your rights to post in this forum. Without you would have nothing to do here anymore. ;)

So don´t worry, I know you will go your way and soon will be earning StrategyPoints.

And if Puschkin is considering that, I offer myself to play 100 Strategy Points more each month so that you can post here. :D

OK, thank you Puschkin. Things have been proceeding well. I got pounded pretty badly when I moved up to NL50, but things have been going much better since moving back down to NL25. I'll build my bankroll back up to $400 or so and then take another shot at NL50 ;)

Thanks again to both of you!
