villain is 42/12 pretty fishy, thinking maybe i should have 3bet pre once again im getting myself into a mess with medium pp's not knowing where i am.
not sure what on earth his range is when he donks the river i only have to be good around 30% of the time to make the call so should i snap it off or fold, also is my play up until then fine.

      1) depends what is his pfr on EP, but call is ok. You can also 3-bet deep and take initiative. Postflop: dot really liek that much raise, since you´re never happy getting there all-in often he would bet/call with overpairs and doesn´t fold better hands. Turn: I would go to pot control, since you only getting value from flushdraws and I think you don´t want to b/c turn. River: I´d fold, flushdraw go there, he has no reason to shove river 6x or hands that you beat.
      2) I think shove is fine. Since you lost big pot, players may easily raise/call there 89, 87, 77 or bluffing you.
