Hand converted with online hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.05/$0.1 No-Limit Hold'em (8 handed)

      Known players:
      BB (Hero):

Preflop: Hero is BB with 8, 8.
5 folds, BU raises to $0.30, SB folds, Hero raises to $1.10, BU calls $0.80.

      Flop: ($2.25) Q, 9, T (2 players)
Hero bets $1.10, BU calls $1.10.

      Turn: ($4.45) Q (2 players)
Hero checks, BU bets $7.80, Hero folds, BU gets uncalled bet back.

      Final Pot: $4.45.

this opponent happens to like to steal often. i decided to 3bet with pocket 8s.
however should i have bet again on the wet flop? was my play ok?

I usually just call with 88, people don't barrel the turn often enough for it not to be profitable to check/call bluff-catch a c-bet on most flops, which is easier to do with 88 than with stuff like 33 since there are less overcards.

As played I just check/fold that board, it hits two many hands and it's pretty easy for people to get away with whatever they want to do in position. Throwing a c-bet out there won't fold out any better hands and we're beat/in bad shape against pretty much every hand with two middle-to-high cards.

      Hope it helps.
