      Hero (SB): $10.00
      BB: $10.00
      UTG: $7.60
      MP: $2.37
      CO: $33.38
      BTN: $17.13

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is SB with J:spade: Q:spade:
UTG raises to $0.30, 3 folds, Hero calls $0.25, 1 fold

      Flop: ($0.70) 3:spade: Q:heart: 8:spade: (2 players)
Hero bets $0.44, UTG raises to $1.55, Hero raises to $8

With no reads I'm assuming he's playing a straightforward game and with KK or AA like he's repping I'm ~48% to win and I think I make him fold most else bar AsKs, AQ, 88. Is the better line to check raise the flop or are we just getting it in regardless ?

      Thanks in advance

Usually you're better off checking to let him c-bet his AK hands notably. Some people will also c-bet/fold stuff like 99-JJ. If he has AQ/QQ+ there is no way he's folding to anything, ever, and that's most likely what you'll be up against if you donk out and he raises, which means you have usually very little fold equity on a 3bet.

So overall you're better off letting him c-bet air/weakish hands to get value that way and then check/raising big so that you're the one making the committing play.

      Hope it helps.

Makes a lot of sense to me, pretty much affirmed what I was thinking but I didn't consider that by donking I'm losing the 99-JJ hands

Thanks a lot for your thoughts
