So after 1,5 year membership at PS I decided to start my own blog here. Actually I have one on my "home" slovak forum but last days I got impression that its kinda dying there. So lets start :)

I am 26 years old guy from Slovakia. Currently living in Bratislava (capital) but originaly from small town in the middle of our country. I work as lawyer and dont have any ambitions to become poker pro. But I think it would be nice in the future to be able to earn som extra money by just "playing" some game.

      POKER

I started with poker in 2008 played twice a weak some micro homegames and even made some money. I actually had just a rough knowledge that there is posibillity to play via internet and I was kinda live poker purist always saying: "How can u play online and even multiple tables. You dont see people and cant read them and you cant focus on more than one tables. :f_biggrin: :D " But then I gave it a try. At the end of 2008 I deposited 35€ to unibet, made 40 more at NL10 in first one and half hour and started to dream about luxurious life with all that money I can make by playing poker as online is soooooo fishy :D . After one week I was busto with about 90 cents left and completely annoyed. I started to play nano SNGs (0,1+0,01) and I would play them maybe till now but then one of slovak players from my "home" forum told me about pokerstrategy. I passed test, deposited my starting capital to pokerstars and started with 1 USD SNGs (9man) and 3,50 USD SNGs (6max). I made a few bucks but still had no idea about volume you need to play etc. Then I read in some thread that cash game players have better post flop skills then SNG players and I was like: "WTF I want good postflop skills too" :D and almost immediately switched to CG. Started with NL 5. Than some personal problems occured (I broke up with GF I reaaaaly loved, actually she started cheat on me) and wasnt in mood to do anything including playing poker. The change came in december 2009 when pokerstrategy sent me an e-mail with something like "You are skilled player :D and if you open account on party poker we will give you another starting capital there." I still wasnt in the mood to play seriously (that time I played sometimes some HU SNGs at stars just for fun) but it was chance to get 50 bucks so why not. I didnt even open party poker till middle of january 2010. But then night before ski trip a suffered from some insomnia and I just tried to open party poker to see whats going on. I started with nl2 and made like 5 BIs in an hour and whats most important suddenly got in the mood to play poker again and with serious approach. After some time I finnaly bought holdem manager a subscribed for DC and started hard grinding :) I made over 600 bucks at party poker (that was my goal there) and moved them to pokerstars as I have there first deposit bonus. So nowadays Im playing NL 25 at stars hopefully moving to NL 50 in about one month and by the end of the year I want to crush NL100 (ok if not crush at least have some minimal winrate :D )

I actually wanted to put some real life stuff in here too but the post seems to be quite long already so I will postpone it a little bit :)

So good luck at the tables and new updates will come soon :)

sooooo todays session went quite well although if my EV had cooperated it would have been much better :) I feel really comfortable at NL25 atm and really enjoy playing it altough Im running like 10BIs under EV :) and experience at least one suckout (2outer) per session. btw. I wanted to post my graph here but I have no idea how to do it. if anybody could help Id really appreciate it :)

      one hand for discussion:

villain plays over 100 hands 38/33/AF7 after the hand a realised that he doesnt fold against 3bets 0 out of 6. on the flop c bet si std imo and as his raise looks quite weak a want to go broke as im not in so bad shape even against som ovps like JJ, QQ and there is possibilty he has weaker FDs like KcJc, KcQc etc. does anybode consider push too spewy?

I don't like PF, yea you missed that he doesn't fold to 3bets but every time you make a decision you should know WHY you make it which makes me think that you either play too many tables or don't pay enough attention to what's going on, get in habit to ask yourself "why" before every decision you do.

Also your 3bet sizing is too big if you 3bet as a bluff you risk too much on it and if you 3bet for value then it's not the hand to do so with. Vs regular players 9/11bb is fine, you can change it depending on your position like less while IP more while OOP etc.

      Postflop is fine.

hey former "purist" :D nice reading, wanted to cheer u up a bit, though a bit awkward to be speaking in Eng to a countryman, but w/e, it is becoming pretty much my working language, so i ll just use it for good among poker comm i guess.

abt uploading graphs->i am pretty lame w comps generally, so happy to give u and advise on this :D :hem->graphs->printscreen->save to pics->upload to imageshack.com-> here in the post u click on the icon "insert image" and copy the url. thats it :]

am sorry to hear abt the gf part. Am kinda sensitive on this myself, so rly feel for u. Just dont understand 1 thing: if u re playing poker now more and more srsly, why are u limiting your goals already to just NL100? i mean, u re young and after graduating dont have to work so frantically right away, or u got some illustrious job? I d feel rly good abt trying out how poker goes for u in your position.

Btw,we might meet in BA for a beer some day or some sport. Are u into sports?

+1 abt the hand. postflop is good (the best)! its deffo not spewy or anything. u have so much equity in that spot and u re attacking dead money from a hyperagro fish.

actually I thought I knew what/why Im doing. as I saw his VPIP/PFR I knew his range OTB is weak so he must fold a huge part of it. but its true that i didnt look at F3bet stat. it was big mistake and Im fully aware of it. Im used to 3bet close to 4x the original open OOP not to give good odds to call villain IP. imo 3bet to 3 (9BB) or 3.5 (11BB) would give villain really good odds to call w wider range. but i may be mistaken :) btw. really appreciate your advice. pls dont take it as I dont want to accept another opinion :) but its my obsession to discuss every topic/hand in depth to get the best reasoning/solution :)

      welcome to pokerhell :D

      todays session

      1. on this guy I have one note - he likes stackoff light - saw him squeeze UTG open and BTN call on BB and then 5 bet push after UTG 4bet w AQs. so considering this its imo mandatory stackoff CO vs BTN

      CO wins $60.07

      2. imo std BTN vs BB. villain looks like common reg. no special reads, no relevant hand sample

      3. I think in this spot is 4bet/broke the only option. even UTG range is strong I suppose him to continue only w AA, KK (I have blockers) and maybe QQ. I dont care at all for MP caller and BTN too as this is good spot for squeeze. but I didnt consider his skill of backdooring :D

ok. so time for my new report finally came :) last week I was moving to my new appartment I bought. It was quite exhausting and for almost 5 days a did nothing except moving things, packing, unpacking, cleaning etc. etc. But finally its over and I really enjoy my new appartment :) its in quite part of Bratislava (village like) - Vajnory (for slovak/bratislava mates) its close to my work and there is cool lake 5 minutes of walk from it :) So I have really nothing to complain about :)
      here are some pics :)

      hall

bathroom :) a really like the bath :) looking forward to relaxin in it like hippo :)

      kitchen

livingroom not furnished yet but working on it :)

place where I will make a lot of women happy :D

      my grinding place :)

view from my balcony :) love it :)

pokerwise is this month pure hell. already running like 14 BI under EV. luckily Im down only like 3BI but its really frustrating losing to 2-6 outers all the time. I am considering to take a little poker break. Actually not to play for a few days, just watch some videos, read articles etc. On the other side I am satisfied that I havent lost more and that I obv make mathematically correct decisions. I know its just variance so I expect huge heater soon :) here is my graph of this month :)
