Hand converted with online hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.1/$0.25 No-Limit Hold'em (3 handed)

      Known players:
      BB (Hero):

Preflop: Hero is BB with 8, Q.
BU calls $0.25, SB folds, Hero checks.

      Flop: ($0.6) J, 4, 9 (2 players)
Hero checks, BU bets $0.50, Hero calls $0.50.

      Turn: ($1.6) 6 (2 players)
Hero bets $0.75, BU calls $0.75.

      River: ($3.1) 4 (2 players)
Hero bets $2.00, BU raises to $9.10, Hero raises to $23.50, BU calls $1.69.

      Villains stats:
      Hands: 56
      VPIP/PFR: 30/7
      AF: 1.1

Most of the time I prefer to 3bet on the flop and play it fast.
This time when I get there on the turn and villain decides to (shove)
3bet River I don't have any idea where I'm standing:
It could be flush or a set (improved boat - R).

I think, that 4 is pretty unlikely, as he would fold it on the turn.
Maybe some sick line /w J9 or set, but I don't think so -
most likely he would like to get the money in on the turn.

Then the only hand he could have is flush.
Question therefore is: How often he is going broke /w TdXd or 9dXd

Also, what is the bottom line to call with in this situation Vs this Villain?

Well being that he is not full stacked i wouldn`t even sweat it but just get it in on river.
However he is a calling station he will passively call down most of his hands and push only the nuts hands .. nuts to him... So what does he consider being those hands is pretty dependant how fishy he is. Lets say he is pretty fishy and we get value from all of his 4x`s and two pairs too so it is ok to call river. If he was fully stacked I would only call his reraise.

against midstack it is easy shove
He should raise river with worse flushes enough times
